About Me 

Since the age of 15 I have been involved in the local music scene in one way, shape or form. From being a loader, to becoming a full time roadie to having a (very) brief stint as a band manager and now I have become a runner for a local studio and also handle event lighting with an up and coming company.

In the past 8 years of various music related roles, my taste in music has become centralised around Rock and Metal with a minor love of blues. It is because of this that I have become fascinated with analysing music, deconstructing what a band or artist has committed to tape/vinyl/ CD or MP3 and released into the world to be loved or hated by people worldwide. It is because of this fascination with analysing music that I felt compelled to write reviews of the genre I love so dearly.

What I believe is the key to my review technique however is that first and foremost, I am a fan of the bands I review; reviewing a piece of music by an artist I dislike would be unfair. As a fan I can stand back and look at what has been put out for me to enjoy and I can decide if it is something an artist has done well or if they are simply going through the motions.
